The transfer speculations about Yaya Toure have come to a halt, as he has signed a new deal with his current club Manchester City. It is reported that he recently inked a £220,000-a-week deal for a period of four years. He had been linked with Paris Saint Germain in the past few days.

Earlier, Dimitri Seluk, Toure’s agent, had revealed that Toure was about to quit the club and move on. But in the end, both parties were able to come to an agreement.

But the transfer worries still continue for City, as the captain, Vincent Kompany is all set to exit the club. After last month’s public falling out with manager Roberto Manchini, he has decided to move out.

According to The Telegraph, the Belgian defender went against Mancini’s orders to pull out of the national team’s World Cup qualifier against Macedonia. Kompany had not played for two months prior, because of his calf injury, but featured for all 90 minutes for the World Cup qualifier clash against Macedonia, though City was to face Newcastle in an important encounter three days later. Mancini was furious and later said:

“I don’t want Vinny not to go to the national team, but when he is injured, it is impossible.

“It is not right – for 60 days he didn’t play for us, and we did everything, and then he goes to play for the national team.

“If he has another injury, or if he is not ready to play for us on Saturday, and we lose him for another month, it is not right either for the player or for the manager.”

Kompany was angered with this comment and hence the falling out. It was also reported that he was more comfortable working with his national team physio Lieven Maesschalck than the club’s medical staff.

Rated one of the best central defenders in the world, big clubs and long time admirers Bayern, Barcelona and Real Madrid have jumped at the chance and thought to be interested in the Belgian’s services.
