Zidane has 'Lot to Learn' as a Director of Real Madrid: Jose Mourinho

Zidane: More to Learn

Real Madrid Coach, Jose Mourinho is of the opinion that, Zinedine Zidane who has recently been appointed as the director of football for the club’s first team after replacing Jorge Valdano has lot more to learn.

Speaking to the Media shortly after arriving at Los Angeles for the Club’s US tour, Mourinho said, “Zinedine Zidane has a lot to offer, but still has a lot to learn”.

“I like that he is working with us and that he personally decided to change his life and be part of this project. He believes in this and thinks he can help. He has a lot to offer, but he also has much to learn.”

The Portuguese Coach went on to hint that the role of a player and that of a director of a club like Real Madrid is different. “It is one thing to be the best player in the world for many years and another to be director of football of the first team at a club as important as Real Madrid,” said the former Inter Milan Boss.

However, Mourinho was quick to praise the former Real Madrid star’s personality and welcome him to the group. “His intelligence, calm nature and the fact that he is completely open to communication make him a welcome addition to this group, in which everyone is excited to work together.”

Zidane, who arrived in LA with Mourinho and the squad previously worked as adviser to the president, Florentino Perez, a role he had occupied since November 2010.
