There's no shortage of dangerous creatures in Fortnite. Some are small and can control minds, like the Alien Parasites that were introduced in Chapter 2 Season 7, while others like Cattus, towered over the island; however, most of them have long disappeared from the game. Although they were added to suit the seasonal theme, having them in-game would make for interesting gameplay. If not as fixtures, perhaps on a rotational basis every now and then.

The Devourer and four other creatures that should make a return in Fortnite Chapter 4

1) The Devourer (Cattus)

The Devourer (Cattus) has not been seen since the epic battle with Mecha towards the end of Fortnite Chapter 1. Although the creature's skeleton did show up on the island in Chapter 3, it never made a comeback despite several theories.

While this beast is more than likely extinct in this reality (the one in which Chapter 4 is based), it may exist in other realities in the metaverse. While bringing back this creature poses its own set of problems, having it in-game would be a sight to behold.

Even having a slightly smaller variant of the beast on the island would be entertaining. Players could perhaps engage with it in combat to earn XP from the battle.

2) Klombo

It's no secret that the Fortnite community was heartbroken when they came across Klombo skulls on the island during Chapter 3 Season 3. After the war between The Seven and Imagined Order escalated to full-scale bombings, these lovable creatures went extinct.

While they can eliminate players, they only do so in self-defense when shot at. Other than that, these gentle giants merely roamed the island and consumed whatever they could find.

Players would often feed them Klomberries and watch as they would shoot out either a weapon or item from the blow-hole atop their head. While these creatures have been vaulted in the game files, they most certainly exist somewhere within the confines of the metaverse.

3) Raptor

Back in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6, Epic Games introduced wildlife to the island. Alongside the standard run-of-the-mill fauna such as boars, wolves, and chickens, they added raptors as well.

These creatures were smart. Often found in packs and difficult to escape from on foot when giving chase. They are apex creatures in-game, but sadly, they were removed and vaulted after the island flipped over, at the start of Chapter 3 Season 1.

This was likely done to ensure that players wouldn't be chased around the map during gameplay; however, with the ability to now ride wildlife in battle, having raptors as a battle mount would truly inspire fear in the hearts of opponents.

4) Loot Shark

It's unclear what happened to the Loot Sharks. They were in the game in Chapter 3 and suddenly disappeared. Given the fact that other wildlife made it to the island in Chapter 4, logically, these should have as well.

Unfortunately, these creatures were lost to the endless void of the metaverse. They are nowhere to be seen. Furthermore, with the fishing mechanic taking a backseat in Fortnite Chapter 4, they may not make a return anytime soon.

Newcomers might be asking, "Why do you even want Loot Sharks back in-game?" Keeping aside the fact that they attack players in sight, they can also be used as a living vehicle. They can be used to traverse water with the help of a fishing rod. It wasn't very efficient, but it sure was fun.

5) Caretaker

Caretakers were lumbering behemoths that were added to the game during Fortnitemares 2021. For the duration that they were present in Chapter 2 Season 8, they became one of the most feared entities on the island.

Encountering them meant one of two things: Flight or fight. In most cases, players would avoid them and try to get away before they got engaged in combat. Given their size, escaping by foot was near impossible, especially since Sprint mechanics were non-existent at the time.

Nevertheless, despite their fearful aura, they made Fortnitemares 2021 one of the craziest to have ever been witnessed in-game. That said, given that the Last Reality is still out there, these creatures are far from extinct. Perhaps players will encounter them sometime in the future.
