Capture Points were added to the game last season and have remained relatively untouched in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2. When these points are claimed, they reward players with decent loot, which generally includes utility items and weapons.

That being said, the number of Capture Points present on the island has slightly increased in Chapter 4 Season 2. This season, there are a total of 11 Capture Points and there's even room for one more if the developers decide to add it in.

Much like the previous season, there are numerous Capture Points that can be found within the Grassland/Medieval Biome. Despite this type of biome covering the vast majority of the island, only six Capture Points can be found and secured. That said, here are their locations:

  • Breakwater Bay
  • The Citadel
  • Anvil Square
  • Shattered Slabs
  • Frenzy Fields
  • Slappy Shores

Out of all the Capture Points, the ones located at Breakwater Bay, Frenzy Fields, and Slappy Shores are by far the easiest to secure. Although these POIs do see a lot of combat, players should likely be able to survive long enough to deal with the opponents in this area and secure a Capture Point.

Capture Points in the Snow Biome

The Snow Biome is a desolate location on the island, and despite covering a large chunk of the island in the north, there are only two Capture Points within this biome. Here's where they can be found:

  • Brutal Bastion
  • Lonely Labs

For those who enjoy the thrill of battle, Brutal Bastion is the perfect place to land and attempt to secure a Capture Point. While it won't be easy, it will most certainly be entertaining. On the flipside, for those who want to 'chill' and secure a Capture Point, Lonely Labs is a much better option.

With the Futuristic Japanese Biome being the 'new kid' on the block, safely landing in Mega City is definitely a daunting task. Thankfully, there are no Capture Points in the metropolitan POI, which makes securing a point in this biome slightly easier. That said, here are the locations:

  • Steamy Springs
  • Kenjutsu Crossing
  • Knotty Nets

In most matches, Knotty Nets is the safest place to land to secure a Capture Point. Given that it's located far away from the main POI in this biome, very few opponents land here. That doesn't mean that opponents won't land here at all, but it does make the task easier.

Should you secure Capture Points in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2?

Given how valuable Capture Points are, securing them is a priority whenever possible (depending on the Storm Circle). They provide enough loot for duos and/or trios, and have a high chance of dropping healing items. During the mid-game stages, coming across stacks of Chug Splash or a Shield Keg can be a life-saver.

On the flipside, if a Capture Point is being contested, depending on the current situation, abandoning this location may be favorable. For those who enjoy digging in and fighting, holding their ground, and repelling attackers, this may be a more favorable option.
