Lighthouses have miraculously appeared on the island in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2. All of these structures are located within the Japanese-themed biome and can be found on the edges of the island.

Unfortunately, as the newly added lighthouses aren't marked on the map like major POIs are, they can be rather tricky to find. With so much going on at any one time on the island, it's easy to miss these structures.

As mentioned, all three lighthouses are found within the Japanese biome. They are located on the southern and eastern edges of the island. Here's where to find all of them:

  • Luminous Lantern
  • Burning Beacon
  • Twilight Torch

The Luminous Lantern Lighthouse landmark can be found a short distance southeast of Steamy Springs. As such, there are two ways to reach this landmark. Players can either land in Steamy Springs, gear up, and then drive a Rogue Bike to the lighthouse or land at Sandy Circle and use the Kinetic Blade as a mobility tool.

To find the Burning Beacon Lighthouse landmark, players can land at Kenjutsu Crossing and then make their way to the lighthouse that's located to the west of the POI. Considering that it's on the edge of the island and on high ground, it's impossible to miss.

The Twilight Torch Lighthouse landmark can be found a short distance north of the Knotty Nets POI. Although this area is covered in trees, which can impede vision, you must keep going north until the edge of the island comes into view. Hidden amongst the foliage, the lighthouse will soon become visible.

Is it worth visiting the lighthouses in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2?

In the grand scheme of things, visiting the lighthouses that are present on the island is a waste of time. Apart from uncovering the fog-of-war that's present on the map at the start of every new season, there's no other reason to visit them.

That said, the only time to visit these landmarks is when they are associated with a challenge/quest. With one of this week's challenges being to visit all three lighthouses in a single match, they will likely become hot-drop locations for the next few days.

Thankfully, since the weekly challenges will stay active until the end of Chapter 4 Season 2, there's no need to rush and try to complete the task. If needed, you can wait until the end of the week to attempt this challenge.

Alternatively, for those who have a 'tight' squad and can coordinate well, trying to visit all three lighthouses in a single match would be entertaining. Players could time themselves to cover the distance and make it back into the safe zone in time to get on with the rest of the match.
