Fortnite Chapter 4 glitch teleports players to the island before Battle Bus launch

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 has arrived with a whole new batch of glitches. One of these glitches allows players to get on the main Battle Royale island before the Battle Bus even launches. This glitch can be useful but will probably be patched soon enough.

Despite Epic Games' efforts to prepare and fine-tune content before launch, glitches will always occur. Glitches are often not a big deal, especially when they're not game-breaking or wildly advantageous.

How to utilize the amazing glitch that puts players on the Fortnite island before anyone else

To use this Fortnite glitch and get on the Battle Bus early in Chapter 4, you can follow the steps below:

Step 1: Head to the part of the spawn island seen in this image

This can only be done if the lobby isn't full, and lots of time is spent waiting on players. If you drop into a lobby that is or is about to count down to the Battle Bus launch, this glitch won't matter.

However, if there's time, head to this part of the Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 spawn island. Make sure you sprint so as not to waste any time.

Step 2: Jump off

Jumping off at this location, where the glowing line can be seen in the image, will result in you falling through a rift.

This may require multiple attempts. However, each time you go through the rift, you might end up on the main island.

Step 3: Rift onto the island

Eventually, you will fall out of a rift onto the new island. This will drop you down onto a Reboot van as if you were just rebooted. Everyone else will remain on the Fortnite spawn island, and you can roam freely.

However, you will not stay on the island. Once the Battle Bus launches, you will be back on board. You will also not keep any loot you find while you're on the island.

This glitch is not completely useless, though. Should you find good loot, it should still be at that spot on the ground. If you can remember where it was and get there before anyone else, you can collect the items you found once again.

Other than that, the glitch won't help all that much, but it is unique. It may eventually be patched, so try it out now while it still works.
