The Dueling Circles were added to the island at the start of Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2. In theory, these circles were made to allow players to duke it out using Kinetic Blades. The general idea is to have a fair fight using only a melee weapon. While there's no specific mechanism to trigger this system, a fair number of players have adhered to this system of combat.

That said, Bounty Boards can also be located at Dueling Circles. If no opponents are nearby to challenge to a duel, bounties can be accepted and players can go hunt down their target. However, since these locations are often deserted, Epic Games is tasking players with visiting Dueling Circles and interacting with the Bounty Boards.

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to accept a bounty at different Dueling Circle Bounty Board locations in Fortnite

1) Find a Dueling Circle

In total, there are four Dueling Circles present on the island. Although they're located within the confines of the recently added Japanese-themed biome, they can be rather difficult to spot while you're on the ground.

Since they aren't named locations, they don't show up on the minimap, which is why you'll have to look for them by sight. That said, here are their names and their exact locations on the island:

  • Bamboo Circle - North of Mega City
  • Sandy Circle - South of Steamy Springs
  • Sakura Circle - Southwest of Kenjutsu Crossing
  • Cedar Circle - North of Knotty Nets

2) Look for the Bounty Board and interact with it

Upon arrival, you'll have to look for a Bounty Board and interact with it to accept a bounty. They are usually located at the far end of the Dueling Circle. Since the challenge involves finding two such Bounty Boards in Dueling Circles, you must interact with two of them to complete this task.

That said, Sandy Circle and Sakura Circle are the closest to each other. You can rotate from either one to reach the other and interact with the Bounty Board there. If required, you can use the Kinetic Blade that's found in the Dueling Circle to rotate quickly. However, keep in mind, there can only be one active bounty at any given time.

Is there any bonus reward for beating an opponent in a duel in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2?

No, there's no additional reward or XP that players earn by defeating opponents in a duel. It's just something that's done for fun, and in most cases, players will open the fight using a ranged weapon rather than the Kinetic Blade.

Players on the other side, if unprepared, will be defeated quickly and without much effort. That said, it's best to keep your distance when approaching an opponent in the Dueling Circle.
