Fortnite: How to deal damage to chickens

"Deal damage to chickens" is the latest Fortnite Battle Royale challenge that was released as part of Avian Ambush Wild Week and is perfect for leveling up the Battle Pass.

By completing the challenge, you will receive 20,000 XP. Additionally, there are several bonus quests during the wild week, with each quest granting an entire Battle Pass level. Hence, you will need to complete the new challenge if you want to level up quickly.

Dealing damage to chickens is perhaps one of the easiest tasks in Fortnite Battle Royale. Chickens were first added to the game with Chapter 2 Season 6, and they haven't received many changes since then.

These animals still have a very low HP pool, which makes them extremely easy to eliminate. Out of all the wildlife in the game, only frogs and crows have lesser HP than chickens.

With 60 hit points, you can eliminate a chicken with one shot from a sniper rifle or with two shots using an assault rifle. You can also damage chickens with your harvesting tool if you are low on ammo or don't want to attract enemies.

Completing the new Fortnite challenge should be an easy task. Here is how to do it:

1) Find chickens

The only tricky part about completing the latest challenge is finding chickens. Fortunately, they are more common during Avian Ambush Wild Week, so you shouldn't have much trouble locating them.

However, if you want to complete the challenge as quickly as possible, you can deal damage to the chickens by visiting one of the following locations:

• Tainted Towers
• Loot Lava Volcano Station
• Sunflower's Saplings
• Reality Roots
• Overtaken Outpost
• Pump 'N Paradox
• Desolate Delta
• Horse Shoe Hideout
• Fort Jonesy

Please refer to the screenshot above for more locations. These spots have guaranteed chicken spawns, but considering that a lot of players will be performing these quests, you will have to get to them first.

2) Shoot chickens with your weapons or hit them with a pickaxe

The second and final part of the challenge requires you to deal damage to chickens. This is extremely easy as it can be done with any weapon. Even if you don't have a gun, you can complete the challenge using your pickaxe.

Considering that chickens only have 60 hit points, you can eliminate them with three swings using your harvesting tool. To complete the challenge, you will have to deal 200 damage in total, which means you will need to find at least four chickens and deal them damage.

Once you have dealt damage to the four chickens, you will receive 20,000 XP as your reward. If you complete multiple challenges during Avian Ambush Wild Week, you will also receive an entire Battle Pass level as a bonus.
