Some time ago, Fortnite leakers/data miners suggested that NPCs would soon be divided based on an in-game class-system. Although their data did suggest that this would be a brand new type of NPC, following the update v24.10, the existing NPCs have been reworked instead. They now have special-classes and class-specific perks.With NPCs now playing a larger role in the game, Epic Games wants players to hire them and test their mettle in combat. Although gold bars will be required to hire a Scout, Heavy, Supply, and Medic Specialist, players will be rewarded with experience points for doing so.A step-by-step guide on how to hire a Scout, Heavy, Supply, and Medic Specialist in FortniteThe hiring process for all Specialist NPCs remains the same. You'll first have to interact with them to bring up the dialogue wheel. Once this pops up, simply choose the Hire option and the NPC will follow you until the very end of the game.
