Fortnite: How to plant tree seeds

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 is much like the previous seasons in this chapter in the way that it features storyline quests. Gamers have often complained about the XP system, but these last few iterations have had a multitude of different ways to earn points to advance the Battle Pass.

These storyline quests serve as a way to earn XP first and foremost, but they're also a way of keeping the community engaged and in tune with what is happening in the plot.

One of this week's challenges is to plant tree seeds after talking to Bushranger. Here's how to do just that.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4: Plant tree seeds for the storyline quest

Before you attempt this storyline quest, other challenges have to be completed. They must be finished in this particular order before you can plant tree seeds, which is the final quest for this week:

• Prepare for Jones' call on your next battle bus ride
• Position the Signal Boosters using your harvesting tools
• Await further orders (Enter a new match)
• Search an open dumpster to find the last of the Scientist's research notes
• Await further orders (Enter a new match)
• Talk to Agent Jones
• Find and enter the approval code at a research lab
• Await further orders (Enter a new match)
• Dance near Attunement Anchors
• Await further orders (Enter a new match)
• Use the sensor backpack to record Zero Point energy signatures
• Await further orders (Enter a new match)
• Survive four storm phases in a single match
• Await further orders (Enter a new match)
• Talk to Bushranger

Once those are done, you can begin the final Fortnite challenge.

Step 1: Talk to Bushranger

This is technically an entirely different challenge, but you can't get to the final one without doing this first, and it's very simple. Just head to this location and talk to the NPC. He will tell you to plant trees and you will need to do so twice to earn the XP.

Step 2: Plant the first tree

The trees' locations will be denoted on the map. The first one is right outside Greasy Grove. When you get close, you'll see the exclamation point on both the minimap and the physical island. Interact there to plant the first tree and begin moving towards the second location.

Step 3: Plant the second tree

The second tree's location is much further away. It is recommended to get a mobility item, specifically a vehicle, to travel all the way for these trees. The second one needs to be planted just outside of Grim Gables, which is quite a ways from Greasy Grove.

Once again, when you get close enough, the exclamation point will show up. Interact with it and plant the second tree. This will trigger a lot of dialogue, but it will signify the end of the challenges for this week.
