Fortnite: How to purchase an item from P33LY, NEURALYNX, or CRZ-8

When it comes to finding NPCs in Fortnite, there are plenty of them scattered all across the island. While some are more important than others when it comes to storylines, they all have a role to play. Some act as merchants, while others function as sparring partners.

That said, a brand new weekly challenge requires players to interact with certain NPCs and purchase any item from them. Although this will undoubtedly cost players gold bars, they'll be compensated with 12,000 XP once the task has been completed.

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to purchase an item from P33LY, NEURALYNX, or CRZ-8

1) Locate the desired NPC

The first step to completing this challenge is locating the NPCs. Since they aren't marked on the map, a small amount of manual searching will be required. Here's where players can find them:

• P33LY - Pleasant Passage (landmark) located east of Shattered Slabs across the bridge
• NEURALYNX - Windcatch Lake (landmark) located east of Mega City
• CRZ-8 - Bamboo Circle (landmark) located northwest of Mega City

2) Interact and purchase any item

Once the desired NPC has been found, the final step is to approach them and interact with them to receive a dialogue option. Next, you must choose an item to purchase and the challenge will be completed.

Points to remember when purchasing an item from P33LY, NEURALYNX, or CRZ-8 in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2

Since there are three different NPCs that players can choose to interact with to purchase any item, the choice will have to be made on individual terms. P33LY sells a Combat Shotgun (250) and Shield Potion (120). Given that the Combat Shotgun isn't a great weapon for beginners, it's best to avoid buying it. Shield Potions, on the other hand, can come in handy during the early-game stages of a match.

2) NEURALYNX

Of all the NPCs that players can visit to complete this challenge, NEURALYNX is probably the least useful. Given that she sells a Twin Mag SMG (250) and Small Shield Potion (30), there's not much value to be had by spending gold bars with this character.

3) CRZ-8

CRZ-8 is a great NPC to interact with, but only for those who plan on opening Holo-Chests. Essentially, he's the only one on the island that sells Keys (100). Aside from this, the only other thing that players can do is challenge him to a duel. It should be noted that he uses a Kinetic Blade and will often switch to his side-arm to shoot as well.
