Fortnite Winterfest 2022: How to get Sled Ready Guff and Arctic Adeline skins for free

Fortnite Winterfest 2022 is live and kicking. Although the island hasn't been covered in snow, there are plenty of surprises in store for players. Getting right to it, on December 13 (today) at 9:15 am ET, the first present will go live for players to redeem.

On that note, two skins are up for grabs: Arctic Adeline and Sled Ready Guff. While there are quite a few presents in the Cozy Lodge, thanks to HYPEX, no guesswork will be needed to open the right ones in the first try.

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to get Arctic Adeline and Sled Ready Guff skins for free in Fortnite Winterfest 2022

1) Visit the Cozy Lodge in-game

As soon as players start the game, they'll notice a small snowflake on the top of the screen right next to the "Play" button. Click on the snowflake to enter the Winterfest 2022 tab.

Once inside, players will be able to see the Cozy Lodge in the distance. To reach Cozy Lodge, press on the giant "Visit Lodge" button on the bottom left to be whisked away to the structure.

2) Search for Fortnite Winterfest 2022 presents

Players need to open a giant green box and the one that Guff can be seen holding. The former will contain the Arctic Adeline skin, while the latter will contain the Sled Ready Guff skin.

Additionally, to see which Fortnite Winterfest 2022 present is from whom, players have to click on it and select it. Once selected, they'll be able to turn it around and check the nametag. Once the name tag has been confirmed, hold down the open button to unwrap the present and obtain the gift.

Note: Only one Fortnite Winterfest 2022 present can be opened every 24 hours.

Other Fortnite Winterfest 2022 freebies

Keeping presents aside, there are numerous other gifts that players can earn during the festive season. A free emote called Curling Iron can be earned by playing with five different friends in any game mode during Fortnite Winterfest 2022.

Keep in mind that these "friends" have to be selected from the in-game list. Teaming up with groups of players who are not on the friend list will not count towards progression. The Curling Iron emote will be given out to players on January 6, 2022.

For those who own Crew, they'll be given a brand new style for Joni The Red. It's called Blue-Blood and goes well with the wintry theme. While the style is nothing too fancy, it will allow players to blend in better with their surroundings in the snow biomes.

Since it's the season of giving, Crew members will also be given a free back bling called Chill-la-la-Llama. For those who are yet to subscribe to Crew for December, doing so now will reward all these cosmetic items.

Lastly, all players will be able to obtain the Guff Gringle skin for free from the Item Shop starting today. He looks like the Guff-version of Santa Clause. While the skin is adorable, given its bright red color, it's best not to use it for combat in the snow biome.
