With Fortnite update v23.20 live, a brand new set of Oathbound challenges have been added to the game. Unlike the weekly challenges that are added to provide only experience points, Oathbound challenges tell a story. They add context to the seasonal theme and provide a backdrop upon which more lore and speculation can be slapped on.

One of these challenges requires players to align the Star Sensors by hitting or damaging them in-game. Since there's no combat involved, it should be a breeze to complete.

A step-by-step on how to align the Star Sensors by damaging them in Fortnite

1) Land in Hidden Henge

The first step to completing this Oathbound challenge in Fortnite is for players to land in Hidden Henge. This is an unnamed location on the map that can be found far north of Faulty Splits. Despite this landmark being peaceful in nature, more players are bound to land here due to the challenge.

Once landed, the first goal should be to secure loot. There are eight floor-loot spawn locations, four chests, a few mushrooms, and other containers in the location. As a good measure and extra protection, players can spend 100 gold bars to hire NPC Helsie, who can be found in and around the area.

2) Look for the main Star Sensor that sits in the middle of the POI

Once geared up, the next step is to look for the main Star Sensor. It's hard to miss as it sticks out like a sore thumb in the middle of a POI. Keep in mind that it cannot be interacted with in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1.

3) Look at the shape of the Moon on the Star Sensor and find a matching one next to one of the large stones

After spotting the main Star Sensor, pay close attention to the shape of the Moon displayed on it. Once the shape has been memorized, find a Star Sensor that has the same shape on it.

4) Use the Harvesting Tool to hit and align the Star Sensor

Once the Star Sensor has been found, players will have to hit it once using a Harvesting Tool to align it. There's no right or wrong way to hit the Star Sensor, just a normal whack will do.

5) Repeat the process four more times to complete the challenge

After aligning the first Star Sensor, players must go back to the main Star Sensor and repeat the process four more times. Since each shape of the Moon displayed is very distinct from the other, it shouldn't be too confusing.

Overall, it's extremely easy to complete this Fortnite challenge in a single match. Once the fifth and final Star Sensor is aligned, players will earn 20,000 XP.
