The first thing to do is to boot up the game and look for the tiny settings icon on the top left of the screen. The icon has three lines running parallel to one another. Click on it and wait for a new menu to appear.


2) Click on 'Settings' and find the 'Parental Controls' tab

Once it's loaded, find the icon that has three lines running parallel to one another and alongside a clog. After clicking on it, another set of options will be made available. Look for the 'Parental Controls' button and click on it. This takes care of the easy part of how to turn off Parental Controls in Fortnite.


3) Enter the 6-digit pin to gain access to the settings

The hard part will be knowing the 6-digit pin that was used to create the parental lock. Unless your parents are willing to share these details, you will not be able to proceed further. For those who know the pin, go ahead and enter it to proceed.


4) Find the 'Disable' button and press it to turn off Parental Controls in Fortnite

Once in the main Parental Control section, you will find numerous settings that you can tweak. For now, go ahead and press the 'Disable' button. Once the prompt appears, press 'Confirm' to turn off Parental Controls in Fortnite.

There's no way to finesse the system as Epic Games takes Parental Controls very seriously. Creating a new account will not help either as players will have to enter their credit card number to confirm their age.

In this scenario, if the 6-digit pin is unknown, the only thing that an individual player can do is wait a few years to turn older. While the "Forgot Pin" option can be used to change the 6-digit pin, it will only work if players have access to the email linked to the Epic Games account.
