Fans want 50v50 coming back to Fortnite after 40v40 (Big Battle – Zero Build) went live

A few hours after the update v22.40 went live, Epic Games officially unveiled the new 40v40: Big Battle – Zero Build LTM. This new mode for Zero Build has been rumored ever since the playlist went live in Chapter 3 Season 2.

Much like Team Rumble, players are divided into two teams and are given a basic loadout at the start of the match. Although this new LTM has been in the oven for quite some time, it's not thoroughly cooked yet.

Based on the vast majority of users who have provided feedback regarding the new LTM, things are less than satisfactory. Some say there aren't enough players, which causes an imbalance in teams, while others think it's not as fun as Team Rumble. While these are opinions, they have to be considered all the same.

That said, with the new 40v40 mode failing to meet everyone's expectations, there's been a massive outcry for bringing back the original 50v50 mode. Due to this, the search trend for "50v50 coming back to Fortnite" has been spiking over the last few days.

With Chapter 4 and a brand new phase of the storyline just beyond the horizon, Epic Games will focus on upcoming narratives and new projects in sight. With that being said, it's all but guaranteed that 50v50 coming back to Fortnite will remain a pipeline dream.

While it is no doubt disheartening for players who have been around since Chapter 1 Season 1, there's no way to turn back time to the good old days. Loopers can only embrace the future and hope the newer LTMs can live up to their predecessors' legendary status.
