Although surveys do not determine who or what will collaborate with the game next, they do provide a general idea of what is and is not trending. Jesse Pinkman was recently spotted in a survey. Another catalyst rekindled interest in Gustavo Fring.
Aside from surveys, another major driver is content creators who have identified the trend and promoted it through videos. While many explained that it was just a survey, others stated unequivocally that it was a collaboration in the works.
Hundreds of users quickly took to Twitter to request a Gustavo Fring Fortnite skin from Epic Games. Although this occurred in late August, the trend has not subsided. Given Giancarlo Esposito's recent popularity, it's no surprise that players want him in the metaverse.
