Fortnite leaks hint at OG Chapter 2 returning 

According to the latest Fortnite leaks, OG Chapter 2 will be returning towards the end of the year. The information was brought to light after an image leaked onto 4chan detailing Epic Games' roadmap for 2024. In the image, the keyart for Chapter 2 Seasons 1, 2, and 3 can be seen under the Battle Royale section. Leakers/data-miners are convinced that this is the real McCoy.

In addition to these major Fortnite leaks, Epic Games had also mentioned that they were planning to bring back OG Fortnite. This was because of the overwhelming positive response they received towards the end of Chapter 4 Season 5 (OG).

In fact, they had even mentioned that they would add it to the roadmap for 2024. Thus, seeing Chapter 2 featured on the leaked roadmap does not come as a surprise to leakers/data-miners.

Veteran leaker/data-miner ShiinaBR does mention that it is currently unknown if OG Chapter 1 will be making a comeback. Since the roadmap does not showcase anything related to it, there's no telling what Epic Games has planned.

On that note, if OG Fortnite Chapter 2 makes a comeback for a month, like last time, the seasons may cycle rapidly and culminate in a live event. However, before that happens, Midas could make a return again.

Fortnite leaks showcase three seasons of OG Chapter 2 returning, Midas might return during them

Based on the Fortnite leaks, three seasons of OG Chapter 2 are likely to make a comeback. While Chapter 2 Season 1 is nothing special as such, Chapter 2 Season 2 set up a major chunk of the game's lore as well as gave the community Midas, who is nothing short of a cult-like figure.

With Chapter 2 Season 2 making an apparent return, Ascendant Midas could be drafted into the storyline once more. Given his role in the original Chapter 2 Season 2 timeline, it would make sense to have him back in the fray. Following his resurrection in Chapter 5 Season 2 following his escape from The Underworld, it is safe to say he is back in the storyline and is here to stay.

Thus, if Chapter 2 Season 2 is featured in OG Chapter 2, players could potentially see Midas once more attempt to break The Loop. While this is based on speculation, it does make a lot of sense. Midas has always wanted to have control of this anomaly, and with the Imagined Order out of the way, there is no one left to stop him.

That being said, there are no substantial Fortnite leaks that shed any light on this theory being viable. Since the storyline spread across space-time itself, anything could happen. Perhaps this time around, Midas will not even attempt to break The Loop. He may just want control of the island. For the time being, speculation and guesswork will have to suffice until more information is revealed.

On a final note, while Fortnite leaks provided by leakers/data-miners HYPEX, Egyptian_Leaker, and SpushFNBR suggest OG Fortnite Chapter 2 will be a separate mode, nothing has been confirmed.

However, if Epic Games follows the same pattern as last year, then OG Fortnite Chapter 2 will be featured in Chapter 5 Season 5 (update v32.00). That is all the information that is available at the moment.
