According to the latest rumor, there is a chance of a Fortnite x Yakuza and Tekken collaboration happening soon. The information was first shared by @Shpeshal_Nick on the social media platform X. The individual in question had previously leaked then-upcoming collaborations such as Doom Slayer and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles — all of which came to pass.

@Shpeshal_Nick mentions that in February 2024, he was sent a small list of characters coming to Fortnite. A few of them were linked to the Yakuza and Tekken franchises. This is what he had to say:

"Back in Feb I got a small list of characters coming to Fortnite and on that list was characters from Yakuza and Tekken. I wonder with this season being a "Hunter" Japan themed season, is this when they add them in?"

Given that the Chapter 6 Season 1 theme is related to Japan, the collaboration would make perfect sense. Characters from either franchise would fit in well with the rest of the gang. Veteran Fortnite leaker @ShiinaBR also shared the post on social media to help it gain traction.

Since this is a rumor, there's no telling what Epic Games has planned. Both franchises have numerous popular characters that would make for great Outfits in the Metaverse. That said, a few names do come to mind.

From the Yakuza franchise, Kiryu Kazuma, Ichiban Kasuga, Goro Majima, and Shun Akiyama would make fine additions to the game. As for the Tekken franchise, Jin Kazama, Heihachi Mishima, Marshall Law, and Kazuya Mishima would fit in well.

Aside from Outfits, other cosmetics could be part of the Fortnite x Yakuza and Tekken collaboration. Epic Games would want to give long-time fans a crossover of "epic" proposition.

With Chapter 6 Season 1 starting in just a few days, if there is a Fortnite x Yakuza and Tekken collaboration in the pipeline, the relevant details will likely be divulged soon. Perhaps Epic Games will reveal something during the Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix: The Finale live event.
