Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 is out and the official gameplay trailer teased all that Epic Games has in store for loopers this season. Players are getting familiar with new weapons, hot spots around the island, and the latest UI to clutch a Victory Royale and start off their journey with a win.

While battle royale games are known for their pace, weapon loadout, and camera settings, first-person perspective (FPP) is becoming highly popular as it puts players in a realistic environment and gives them that immersive gameplay experience.

However, Fortnite has always been in TPP as it involves players building structures and looking around with a larger field of view to scout for enemies.

When the Zero Build mode was introduced added to the game earlier this year, a player created a concept for a FPP in Fortnite that went viral. Ever since then, the community has been raving about getting it in the game, and even started petitions on the internet demanding Epic to introduce it in the battle royale title.

Loopers even started making creative maps that made players experience a hypothetical FPP mode in the game. While the developers did not officially respond to those requests, they teased via the Chapter 4 Season 1 trailer that a first-person mode might be arriving in the future.

Fortnite may soon introduce a first-person perspective or mode in Chapter 4, according to teaser

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 trailer dropped yesterday before the servers went live and players were extremely pleased to see a first-person view of a character emoting. However, there was no addition of an FPP mode when the game went online, which led to a huge disappointment amongst the community.

But this does not mean that Epic will never add that camera angle in the game for fans to enjoy. The glimpse in the teaser is proof that developers have been testing the waters of how Fortnite can be experienced in FPP and what the possibilities of it getting introduced in this Chapter are.

Earlier, some in the community believed that the FPP mode might just be for the Mini Slayer Fist Bump emote that was shown in the trailer and wouldn't be present in any kind of actual gameplay. The speculation was busted when players tested out the emote in a match after unlocking it from the Battle Pass. Simply put, it was in TPP.

While the demand for a first-person mode in Fortnite is at an all-time high, the community is highly appreciative of the fact that the game now has a perks system called Augments.

Similar to battle royale games like Warzone and Apex Legends, these give players a boost on their combat skill, health, and movement mechanics during matches.

There are several leaks that indicate there might be more Augments releasing in the near future. These include ones that include Midas Touch and two Siphon variants, which will introduce several new ways to play the latest season.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 is available to play for free on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
