Bushranger is one of the most interesting Fortnite characters. While most players use him as a meme skin, he's also played a big part in the Chapter 2 storyline. Fortunately, he is back just two weeks before Fortnite Chapter 4.

The original description of the character states:

"Bushranger has no idea how he ended up on the island, but he knows that none of the other trees are quite like him. Until he can find his way home, he's happy to live of the land and off the beaten path."

He was first released into the game as an NPC in Chapter 2 Season 5. Players found him at several locations, including Salty Towers, where he sold Peppers and Slurp Mushrooms.

Epic Games has released a lot of map changes over the past few weeks. With the v22.20 update, the Fortnite developer added The Knowby Cabin, which was a perfect addition to the Fortnitemares event.

The latest update, released on Tuesday, November 15, has brought a couple more map changes. Chrome continues to expand across the island and has taken over Tilted Towers.

However, Epic has also added some new NPCs to the island. Fortunately, the fan-favorite NPC is back too!

In Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4, Loopers can find the character between The Knowby Cabin and the Reality Tree. The NPC is roaming around the area, and you need to interact with him to unlock him in the collection book.

This time, the popular humanoid tree sells the Firefly Jar and the Grapple Glider. If you haven't tried the new Grapple item out yet, you can simply land close to him and purchase it for 250 gold bars.

Considering Fortnite Chapter 4 starts in less than three weeks, it is unlikely that Bushranger will stay in the game until after the new season. However, he is close to the Reality Tree and may play a big role in the storyline again.

The history of the NPC

Bushranger played a big role in the events of Chapter 2 Season 7. During the alien invasion, the character tried to adopt an Alien Parasite, but that turned out to be the wrong move, as he died shortly after.

Before these events, the NPC was found next to Risky Reels. After his attempt, however, the character was replaced by a grave. Fortunately, Bushranger was eventually revived and may be an important piece of the storyline.

In Chapter 3 Season 3, the Vibin' questline revealed that The Scientist brought Bushranger to talk to the Reality Tree. However, the fan-favorite character thought that the Reality Tree was dark, which could be why Epic Games brought him back as an NPC.
