Some Fortnite NPCs play a huge role in the storyline of the video game. In Chapter 3 Season 4, a few of them seem to be expecting a mysterious guest, yet no one really knows who it is.

These Fortnite NPCs exist for a reason, and their latest behavior will probably be used to foreshadow the future. If we've learned one thing in the past five years about Epic Games, it's their creativity when it comes to foreshadowing future events with little detail.

Epic Games released Fortnite NPCs for the first time in Chapter 2 Season 2. This season featured a clash between Ghost and Shadow, two factions that ruled the island. However, when the war between the factions ended, the henchmen had nothing to do and were forced to leave their outposts.

Ever since, players have been able to see two henchmen on the island. They moved to different spots and, despite belonging to different factions, eventually became friends.

Their storyline continued in Chapter 3 and players had to rescue them during Chapter 3 Season 3. The two henchmen became friends with a tresspasser, but they somehow ended up getting trapped in a cave at the Reality Tree.

After their rescue, the Fortnite NPCs kept moving over the island and expanding their group. At the moment, there are five members of the group, including Svenja and Remnant Order.

As of October 30, the group can be found on a hill just above Seven Outpost II. They stare into the distance, waving flags and emoting. It appears they are expecting a mysterious guest, who could end up destroying the island.

This situation is similar to the Season 9 mini event that featured a Polar Peak monster. After the destruction of Polar Peak, its castle was seen in the ocean around the island.

Eventually, it turned out that the castle was on the back of the Polar Peak monster, who played a huge role in the live event at the end of the season. The NPCs may have seen something similar to that monster, but there is also a theory that they may have spotted the Cube Queen.

The Cube Queen has played a huge role in the storyline so far. However, she is presumably dead as her attempt to take over the island has failed. The villain was defeated by The Seven during the final event of Chapter 2 and hasn't been seen since.

The antagonist is affiliated with The Nothing, another organization who wants to destroy the universe. Considering that the current season released The Herald as a boss, this could be another sign that The Cube Queen is making a comeback and will have another shot at destroying the island.
