Fortnite developer accounts are unique. For the most part, most players fall into two categories - standard player and creator. Creators are those who make content on social media, make Creative islands, or do something along those lines. Standard players generally constitute everyone else.

The third account type is a developer account, which is a very uncommon one. The majority of players may not have even heard of this, let alone possess one.

This account is unique and allows players to do things other accounts cannot. Here's what you need to know, including the most important part: who can get one.

Fortnite developer account: A complete guide

Fortunately, the developer account for Fortnite isn't all that restricted. Most players will be able to get one. The account type is reportedly free for anyone, with no age restrictions or geographical restrictions either. However, it works best on a PC.

To get one, visit AuroraFN.dev. Click Log In, and then a new window will pop up. Since you don't yet have this type of account, you can sign up here.

This will ask for a username, email, and password. These don't necessarily have to be the same as the ones used for Fortnite.

Once that's done, a few confirmations will pop up which you will need to accept to move on. Now you have a developer account.

These accounts are used to look at every single cosmetic that Epic Games has ever released. Players will have access to everything from the Black Knight to Hulk.

Keep in mind that this does not mean you can use them. You can meddle around with them, put different combinations together and look at every single item ever put into the game, but you cannot use them in Battle Royale or any other game mode.

This account is purely for viewing purposes and nothing more. However, within this developer account, there is another option. In the account settings, you can enable Leaker Mode.

This will allow you to see leaked skins that are upcoming in the game.

This won't show any older skins, only new ones. This is an excellent way to try and become a leaker in the Fortnite community.

This can be changed at any time.

To download the developer account for Fortnite, visit the home page of the aforementioned website. There, you should see an option to download in the top-left corner.

This will download a .zip file with everything you need. To access it, open the Fortnite Launcher that was just extracted.

This should open the game, where you can then log in with the new credentials just used on the website. This will allow you to access the game in your new developer account.

For now, this type of account is restricted to PC users only. Mobile, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation users cannot access this type of account on their devices.

Fortunately, most computers meet the requirements to run the game.
