OB33 Free Fire update date, time, expected features, and more

One of the areas that has stimulated the interest of the Free Fire community has been the topic of updates. The anticipation for a specific patch begins to build from the start of the Advance Server, giving players a taste of the new features expected to be released in the next version.

The upcoming OB33 update will certainly have a lot of content in the store as players were already able to test out the new Zombie Invasion mode, weapons, and a mystery character, along with adjustments to several abilities in its Advance Server.

Based on estimates and famous conjectures in the community, the Free Fire OB33 update is expected to go live on 23 March 2022. This is because the patch is typically released one day before the end of the Clash Squad Season, which this time ends on 24 March.

Release time

There will be a long spell of maintenance before the release of the patch to ensure a smooth transition to the latest version. This generally starts around 9:30 AM IST (GMT +5:30), and the servers are down until late evening.

Gamers will download the update a few hours into the maintenance from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, i.e., around 11:00 AM IST. However, they won't be able to access the client until the conclusion of the scheduled maintenance.

Expected features

New mystery character

The new Mystery character has attracted a lot of players in the Free Fire OB33 Advance Server. It comes equipped with the Swordsman’s Wrath ability, which provides a shield and reduces damage.

Character rework

Multiple character abilities have changed in the Advance Server client, and players can expect a few to make their way into the game. This list includes A124, Steffie, Nikita and Rafael.

Weapons

Developers introduced two new rifles in the assault rifles category called G36 and F2000. This will slightly alter the gun meta.

Pet – Zasil

All recent updates have included a new pet, which is expected to be released in the upcoming update. Subsequently, Garena might add Zasil pet with the patch. It possesses an ability called Extra Luck, which provides gamers with a 25% opportunity to get a medkit, inhaler, or repair kit for free.
