Free Fire is an online action-adventure battle royale game played in third-person perspective.

The battle royale consists of up to 50 players landing onto an island in search of weapons and equipment to kill other players.

The ultimate goal of the players is to survive on the island with a maximum of 50 players; this can be done by eliminating all opponents along the way and ensuring that they are the only survivor remaining. The last player or team standing wins the round.

Beginners who are just starting with Free Fire might feel scared and confused playing against gamers who are much more experienced. It is important to know the do's and don'ts of any game before you start playing it and here are a few tips for gamers who are just starting with Free Fire.

Drop Location

Pre-planning the drop location before jumping is very beneficial. This saves a lot of time in the early game and eliminates the problem of early rotation.Depending upon the playstyle, players can either go to hot drops or land in less crowded areas.Hot drops tend to have a lot of loot but it’s highly contested, and there is always a risk of an early encounter with opponents in these locations.

Don’t go looking for a Perfect Loot

Although having the perfect loadout is advantageous, it's not achievable in most cases. Grab what you can get in game early and also utilise things like Grenades, Flashbangs and Gloo walls.

The process of looting should be quick and beware of your surroundings while looting.

Make Use of Practice Mode

There is a training mode available in the game, and it’s important to use the mode properly.Trying every gun in training mode will give an idea to new players about recoil patterns and bullet drops of every weapon. There is a huge variety of guns to try on.

Use Minimap

The minimap shows any nearby players that are shooting. However, the map will not only show you the location of the enemy players, but also the direction in which they are shooting. This means that you can actually sneak up behind an opponent attacking another player and take them out.

One unique aspect of Garena Free Fire is that your reticle changes colour the moment an enemy is in the crosshair. This means that you can use it to ‘scan’ areas where you think an enemy may be. If it changes colour, an enemy is in your sight. You can then fire and get a few hits on the enemy. It is very helpful for beginners.
