Ghostrunner 2 is nearly here, and as one of the more visually impressive games of 2023, PC enthusiasts will be keen on benchmarking it on their rigs. 505 Games' latest title is designed to offer fast performance on top of striking visuals. That said, the official system requirements are here, so players can prep their PCs for optimum performance.

As expected, 505 Games' latest release has minimum and recommended requirements, both tailored to offer optimum visual and gameplay performance.

Considering how extreme the system requirements are for recommended settings, it is likely to feature raytracing. Interestingly, the game currently does not feature raytracing on PC. Those who buy the Brutal Edition get 48-hour early access, so a few gamers are already fighting through Dharma Tower.

The publisher has suggested that raytracing will be made available on day one with a launch day patch on PC with console support to follow. Hopefully, this update also addresses the performance issues outlined in our detailed review of Ghostrunner 2. This subsequent patch will also introduce DirectX 12 API support for the game, which should help players with mid to high-end specs squeeze more performance from their hardware.

An SSD (solid state drive) requirement is also a no-brainer. With modern consoles switching exclusively to SSD, games will soon follow suit. Therefore, PC users are also nudged in that direction.

With the speed of action in Ghostrunner 2, as well as the open-world segment introduced midway through the campaign, SSDs will ensure a superior performance across the board.
