FIFA 18: Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi tweets to EA Sports after last-minute winner against Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid v Chelsea FC - UEFA Champions League

Batshuayi after scoring the winner for his side against Atletico Madrid

What's the story?

Chelsea FC played Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night and notched up a comeback 2-1 win. Atletico took an early lead, courtesy Antoine Griezmann. However, the London side bounced back through a goal by Alvaro Morata.

The match looked like it would end in a draw but striker Michy Batshuayi had other ideas. In the 94th minute of stoppage time, he hammered in a cross from Marcos Alonso to seal victory.

Following that, the Belgian was in the mood to clown around on social media as he posted a series of tweets. As seen in the above tweet, Batshuayi channeled his inner DC superhero.

In case you didn't know

Batshuayi had long been after the videogame company to get them to change his rating. He wasn't the only person who was affected by the sub-par rating though. Dele Alli and Benjamin Mendy too expressed their disappointment at EA's snubs.

Even the fans got in on the action when they pointed out that a few Liverpool players had been unfairly rated and even Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti was given a silver rating.

The heart of the matter

As if this hasn't been mentioned several times, Batshuayi has been miffed at EA Sports for giving him a less than expected rating on FIFA 18.

As seen in the next tweet, Batshuayi has clearly been watching too many movies. He was well aware that his fans were expecting him to troll EA Sports once again so he did not disappoint.

What's next?

EA have addressed some of the players' complaints but reaffirm that the ratings for FIFA 18 cannot be changed. However, they have said that if the concerned players improve their performances, there could be a chance that the rating will increase.

Author's Take

At this point, I have to admit that Batshuayi and the other players really need to let it go. However, the other half of me does enjoy watching the back and forth banter between EA and the players.

On another note, FIFA 18 is set to hit the shelves on Friday and we cannot wait for it to come out.
