Bangladesh U19 vs England U19, 2019

The English Under 19 is scheduled to tour Bangladesh during January and February 2019. The tour will start with a standalone T20I. It will be followed by a three-match ODI series. All the ODI matches and the sole T20I will be played in Cox’s Bazar. The tour will conclude with a two-match Test series.

Coming to the subcontinent, it will be a tough series for Jon Lewis’s boys. Bangladesh’s team has been doing pretty good recently. It is worth mentioning that the Bangladeshi team has outperformed their English counterparts in both the previous U19 World Cup securing 3rd and 6th place in the 2016 and 2018 respectively against England’s 6th and 7th place finish.

Bangladesh will be an even greater force to reckon with in their own backyard. The senior side faced a lot of difficulties in their last trip to Bangladesh. Seeing it, the Young Lions worked hard before Christmas during their training camp in India. This tour will be a great challenge as well a very good learning experience for the Young Lions.
