The China Masters is a professional badminton tournament being held in the People's Republic of China every year since 2005. It is one of two BWF World Tour tournaments hosted in China annually.
The China Masters became a part of BWF series in 2007-2013. However, the competition did not hold the status and was downgraded to BWF Grand Prix Gold, since only one BWF Super Series is allowed to be organized by a country in one year.
Chinese shuttlers like world number six Lin Dan and Chen Long who is ranked 37 have dominated the competition in the men’s singles category. On the other hand, Wang Shixian has won the China Master two times in the women’s singles category.
The China Masters will be held in city of Fuzhou, China from 6 to 11 November 2018.
Official sponsors of the tournament are HSBC, Royal Selangor, BWF, Infront, Total, ELO, Lay Mau and CR Beverage are official partners for this tournament.
Prize Money of the tournament is USD 700,000.
In the 2017 edition of the tournament, Chinese player Tian Houwei won the Men’s Singles’ title.
On the other hand Women’s Single title was won by world number 12, Aya Ohori of Japan.
Under the men’s singles category, Chinese players Chen Long and Lin Dan are likely to show success in the tournament. Malaysian player Lee Chong Wei will give tough competition.
For the women’s singles category Akane Yamaguchi of Japan and Indian player P.V. Sindhu are looking in great shape ahead of the tournament. Tai Tzu-ying of Taiwan is the number one seed currently and is expected to give great competition.
