The Hyderabad Open is a competitive badminton tournament organised by Badminton Association of India and sanctioned by Badminton World Federation (BWF) and Badminton Asia.
The 2018 edition of the tournament will be held at the G.M.C Balayogi SATS Indoor Stadium, Gachibowli, Hyderabad from 4 to 9 September 2018. The competition will take place as the seventh Super 100 tournament of the 2018 BWF World Tour and will also be a part of Hyderabad Open championships.
One of the major sponsors of the tournament is IDBI Federal Life Insurance.
The prize money announced for the tournament is USD 75,000. Singles winner will be given a sum of $5,625 and doubles winner will be awarded with $5,925 respectively.
In the 2017 edition of the tournament, Sitthikom Thammasin of Thailand won the title under men’s singles category. On the other hand, Gadde Ruthvika Shivani of India won the women’s singles’ title.

Some of the interesting and promising young talents from India like B. Sai Praneeth, Sameer Verma, Sourabh Verma, and Lakshya Sen will be a part of the tournament in the Men’s singles category. Players like K. Sri Krishna Priya, Ruthvika Shivani and Mugdha Agrey will take part in the Women’s singles category.
