Team India will be hosting Bangladesh in November 2019 for a T20I and Test series after their home series against South Africa. The India v Bangladesh series will consist of 3 T20Is preceding two Test matches. The Test series will be the first for the visitors in the ICC World Test Championship.
India have won all of the 8 T20Is they have played against Bangladesh. The two teams have played just one game in India. That game was one of the most entertaining T20Is as the Indians won the game even after Bangladesh needed just 2 runs to win off the last 3 balls and they lost a wicket on each of those. MS Dhoni sealed the victory as he ran in from behind the stumps and dislodged them before the non-striker could get into the crease.
The two teams have played 9 Tests so far. All of those were in Bangladesh except for the latest encounter. India have won 7 games including the one in played in Hyderabad, while the remaining two ended in a draw. If the visitors manage to win any of these games, it will be their first victory over the hosts in the respective format.
The Ind v Ban 2019 series will provide both teams with match practice ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 in Australia. While the Bangladesh team is considered underdogs, they will have to start beating top sides like India if they have to be one of the contenders for the title win next year. The three T20Is will be played on 3, 7 and 10 November in Delhi, Rajkot and Nagpur respectively.
Team India is currently placed 4th in the ICC T20I Team Rankings while their neighbours are placed at the tenth position. The shortest format is the one where rankings matter less than current form and the performance on the day.

The Test series against India will be the first for the visitors in the ICC World Test Championship. They will be looking forward to begin the tournament with a high by at least not losing against the top ranked Test side in the world. The Ind v Ban Test series is expected to be one-sided given that Bangladesh are currently ranked ninth in the longest format.
To add to their woes, their two senior most cricketers Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan will not be touring India because of family matters and a ban respectively. Their batting will entirely depend on Mushfiqur Rahim.
The two Tests will commence on 14 and 22 November in Indore and Kolkata respectively. The Kolkata Test will the first-ever Day/Night Test played by India as well as Bangladesh, and it will also be the first in India.
