The Bangladesh Women’s Cricket Team will be travelling to Pakistan for a T20I and ODI series in October-November 2019. This series will provide impetus to resuming international ties in the country. This will be their second tour in Pakistan in the last four years.
The entire Pakistan Women vs Bangladesh Women 2019 series will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Three T20Is will be played on 26, 28 and 30 October 2019. The last time they played the T20I series in Pakistan in 2015, Pakistan won it 2-0. In overall Pak w v Ban w T20Is, Pakistan lead the head-to-head stats 11-1.
It will be followed by the ODI series. It will comprise of only two matches, on 2 November and 4 November. These ODIs will be a part of the ongoing ICC Women's Championship. In 2015, the Bangladesh side managed to level the series 1-1.
This 10-day series will be crucial for Pakistan Women's Cricket Team not only from the Women’s Championship point of view but also the safety point of view. The Pakistan women vs Bangladesh women series is one of the very few bilateral series that are being held in Pakistan over the last few years. However, some cricket boards like Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka have agreed to send their teams to the country for the resumption of international cricket in the region.
