Swiss Open

The Swiss Open is a HSBC BWF World Tour Super 300 tournament, which has a long history dating back to 1955. It is held in the city of Basel at St. Jakobshalle. The tournament, organised by Swiss Badminton and sanctioned by the BWF, has a total prize money of $150,000. The winners in both singles and doubles get $11,250 while the runners-up get $5,700. It was one of the BWF Super Series tournaments since 2007, but in 2011, it was brought down to a Grand Prix Gold event.
