The 2025 ShopRite LPGA Classic has concluded its second round, and the cut line was set at 2-under. Several big names missed the cut at the tournament, including defending champion Linnea Strom and two-time 2025 U.S. Women’s Open champion Maja Stark.

The ShopRite LPGA Classic was established in 1986 and was originally known as the Atlantic City LPGA Classic. Last year, Swedish golfer Linnea Strom won the tournament with a score of 14-under 199, one stroke ahead of the runner-up.

This year, the tournament kicked off on Friday, June 6, at Bay Course, and Strom struggled through her first two rounds.

#1 Linnea Strom

Last year, Linnea Strom won the 2024 ShopRite LPGA Classic, marking her maiden LPGA Tour victory. This year, Strom struggled in her second round and opened with a bogey on the 10th and a double bogey on the 15th.

The 28-year-old carded 75 after shooting two birdies and three more bogeys. This brought her total to 5-over 147, far from the cut line of 2-under.

#2 Maja Stark

Last week, Maja Stark dominated in the U.S. Women’s Open and won the tournament with a 7-under 281. She beat Rio Takeda and world No.1 Nelly Korda by two strokes to secure her second LPGA Tour title and her first major championship win.

Despite her stellar performance at the U.S. Women’s Open, Stark was unable to meet the cut line at the ShopRite LPGA Classic. She carded 3-over 145 after the first two rounds and landed at T107.

#3 Lauren Coughlin

American golfer Lauren Coughlin won two events on the LPGA Tour last year— the CPKC Women’s Open and the ISPS Handa Women’s Scottish Open. This year, she has had two top-10 finishes and five top-20 finishes.

Coughlin carded 71 in her first round at the Bay Course and 70 in her second round. She closed with a total of 1-under 141, narrowly missing the cut line.

#4 Yu Liu

Yu Liu’s first and only LPGA Tour victory was at the 2017 Tullymore Classic. She won the tournament with 16-under 200, one stroke ahead of the runners-up.

During her first round at the 2025 ShopRite LPGA Classic, Liu carded 1-over 72. On day two, she made par after shooting three bogeys and four birdies. This brought her total to 1-under 142 across 36 holes.

#5 Su Oh

Although she has yet to win an event on the LPGA Tour, Su Oh has had success on the Ladies European Tour and the WPGA Tour of Australasia. In 2015, she won the Volvik RACV Ladies Masters with a score of 7-under 285.

At the 2025 ShopRite LPGA Classic, Su Oh carded 73 in her first round and 75 in her second. She closed with a total of 6-over 148.
