Michael Kim is one of the most active golfers on social media, especially on X (previously Twitter). Apart from sharing his 'tournament diaries', Kim often posts his takes on different topics and ongoing issues. The PGA Tour pro recently made a post on the slow play issue in golf.
Kim's often shares daily journals from different golf events, opinions, hilarious takes, and also engages in fan interactions. The golfer has a unique social media presence.
On Sunday (June 8), Kim shared his take on the French Open final, which lasted for a marathon 5 hours 28 minutes. The historic final match saw Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz engage in a tense head-to-head contest, which was won by the Spaniard.
In the post, Kim reminded fans that the long playing hours are not just limited to golf, which is a classic callback to the PGA Tour pace of play issues. The Tour now considers any round more than 4 hours 30 minutes as slow play.
Take a look at what Michael Kim wrote in his tweet:
"Slow play isn’t just in golf!"
The Open Era of tennis saw its longest men's final as Sinner and Alcaraz battled for the French Open title. Michael Kim's slow play post was a sarcastic take, considering the nature of the two sports.
Kim is coming fresh off a T44 finish at Muirfield Village Golf Club. The PGA Tour pro was competing at the Memorial Tournament, hosted by Jack Nicklaus. He scored a total 8-over par 296 after four rounds of this signature PGA Tour event. He also shared his experience about the course conditions.
His recent post is a precursor to his all-round interest in different sports apart from golf. Needless to say, this was not the first time Kim showed interest in tennis. Last year, he drew a funny comparison between player etiquettes in tennis and golf. He recently also commented on Rafael Nadal's golf swing.
Michael Kim praised tennis icon Rafael Nadal's golf swing
Golf fans had an unexpected visitor at TPC Sawgrass, months after the conclusion of the 2025 Players Championship. Rafael Nadal paid a visit to the iconic venue, and even tried his hand at playing at the course.
The clip of the 22-time major champion was noticed by Michael Kim, who analyzed his golf swing. The Players Championship shared a video of Nadal playing golf at TPC Sawgrass on X:
"A walk around THE PLAYERS Stadium Course at @TPCSawgrass with tennis legend, @RafaelNadal."
Kim praised the legendary tennis icon's skills in the comments section below the post. Take a look:
"Guy turned his backhand into a golf swing… pretty crazy move haha."
It's worth noting that Rafa has been an avid fan of golf for several years now. Apart from dominating at Roland Garros, he often competes in different golf pro-am events.
