The book has instances from Major Dhyanchand’s life. Major Dhyanchand is the biggest name in Indian Sports History. His astounding skills have been glorified in various apocryphal stories and anecdotes.

A number of such these revolve around the fact that Singh had a magical control over dribbling the ball. 29 August, Chand’s birthday, is celebrated as National Sports Day in India. The President gives away sport-related awards such as the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, Arjuna Award and Dronacharya Award on this day at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, India.

His encounter with Adolf Hitler is well own. In the year 1936, in Berlin Olympics final, India defeated Germany with DhyanChand scoring most of the goals. Hitler was present in the crowd. He invited DhyanChand for lunch. DhyanChand was offered a position in German Army by Hitler. Dhyanchand politely rejected as he wanted to represent India till his final breath.

The story is narrated by Bablu Dubey and the man behind India’s lone 1975 hockey world cup victory, Ashok Kumar. Bablu’s life went parallel with Indian Hockey as he found god in Hockey, Dhyan Chand , Ashok Kumar and sports.

The story is a parallel coincidental comparison between Bablu Dubey’s fight against cancer and DyanChand’s Indian hockey career. The story also contains some incredible matches narrated by legendary hockey players.

Madhya Pradesh government and CM Shivraj Chauhan also has found a place in the book. He helped Bablu financially in the year 2010-11 during his long battle against cancer.

Nikhil Chandwani took one long year to write this biography, and this is probably the biggest biography in Indian Sports History as it contains the never before heard stories from DhyanChand’s personal and on field life which is narrated by his son Ashok Kumar himself.
