Nagaon (Assam) - Jharkhand entered the final of the third Hockey India Sub-Junior Men’s National Championship (East Zone) Saturday here.
The final will be played April 8.
In the first semifinal, Jharkhand defeated Mizoram 3-0. Sudhir Munda scored the first goal for Jharkhand in the 32nd minute. Jharkhand, who led 1-0 at the half time, scored another two goals through Joseph Nag and Petrus Tiru in the 57th and 59th minutes, respectively.
In the last league match of the day, Odisha beat Bengal 6-2. Now Odisha will face Manipur in the second semifinal Sunday and the winner will play against Jharkhand.
