Rizwan Khan was found lying dead inside his car, which was parked outside a female friend's house in G-Block of Sarojini Nagar, with a bullet shot on his right temple. Prima facie, the police claimed it to be a case of suicide but family members of the deceased cried murder.
The police rushed to the scene at about 10.30 am on Wednesday, when they received the call about the body in the car. Romil Baaniya, District Commissioner of Police (South) claimed that they found a country-made pistol in Rizwan's right hand but could not find any suicide note.

Shareef Khan, the father of the deceased claimed that his son left the house in the car with Rs 2 lakh in a bag, which he was going to use to buy a bike. When he called his son in the evening, the phone was not reachable, but an alternate number was picked up by a female person who did not reveal any details to him.
The Police will be interrogating the girl and Rizwan's cousin, who was in touch with the 20-year-old before he left the city to play a hockey game, in order to learn the truth behind the alleged suicide.
While the sudden demise of Rizwan certainly raises a lot of questions on the reason behind the alleged murder/suicide, the outcome of the investigation could be linked to his hockey career in all probabilities.
