It hasn’t been the most pleasing start for India at the 2016 Rio Olympics, medals-wise. While the likes of Jitu Rai and Dipa Karmakar have provided the team with the cheers, thanks to their progression into the final, the others haven’t quite been able to stand up and deliver.
On Tuesday, however, another batch of Indian athletes will take to the field. Dattu Bhokanal, who was so impressive on the opening day, will be in action in the Men’s Singles Sculls quarterfinal.
Heena Sidhu, who had such a poor time in the Women’s 10m Air Pistol, will look to put in a better showing in the 25m Air Pistol event on Tuesday. Atanu Das, who impressed one and all in the ranking round on Friday, will compete in his Round of 64 Recurve event on Tuesday.
The Indian Men’s hockey team will also be in action for a second straight day, taking on Argentina in their third Pool B match.
