Gone are the days when hockey fans would rarely get to watch live action. The Indian young guns will be seen live taking on England, Korea, Malaysia, Argentina and Pakistan in the 3rd Sultan of Johor Cup.
Star Sport 2 will telecast the 3rd Sultan of Johor Cup Hockey tournament live which begins at Johor Bahru in Malaysia from September 22-29.
However, availability of dual commentary feed (in Hindi and English) is still not confirmed. Sports channels are trying to reduce their dependence on expensive and limited cricket properties and betting big on other sports, and hockey is one such sport.
The tournament will be played on a round robin format with the final and other position matches on September 29.
The final and other position matches are on Sunday, September 29 with 5th and 6th position match at 1:35 pm, 3rd and 4th position match at 3:35 pm and the final at 5:35 pm.
