Chris Kreider is an American professional ice hockey winger and alternate captain for the New York Rangers in the NHL. Kreider is in a long-term relationship with Grace Putman, his high school sweetheart. However, they both prefer a secluded, private life. Their relationship has lasted well over a decade.

Grace Putman graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2014 and Denison University in 2016, where she studied Communications, just like her partner. She then interned at the L'Atelier Group Showroom before becoming the social media marketing manager at Chalsen Lawn and Landscape. She then took a job as a recruiting coordinator at Betts Recruiting in New York.

Putman currently works as a customer success manager at MarketMan and regularly tweets about her company from her personal account.

Chris Kreider's achievements in the NHL

Kreider possesses everything a modern NHL power forward requires: elite speed, game-changing ability, and a physical approach to the game. The New York Rangers, who selected Kreider in the first round (No. 19) of the 2009 NHL Draft, were drawn to those qualities.

Kreider played at Boston College, where he became one of the top players in the country during his three seasons. Kreider had 15 goals and assisted the Eagles to the national championship as a freshman in 2009-10, scoring a goal in the championship game against Wisconsin.

Kreider also helped the US win the 2010 World Junior Championship with six goals and seven points in seven games and played in the 2010 World Championship, scoring one goal in six games.

For the 2010-11 season, Kreider returned to Boston College. He represented the United States at the 2011 World Junior Championship, finishing third with four goals and six points. He had two goals and an assist in seven games at the 2011 World Championships.

Chris Kreider made history in 2011-12. He contributed 23 goals and 45 points to Boston College's second NCAA championship in three seasons before signing an entry-level contract with the Rangers on April 10, 2012. Six days later, he made his NHL debut in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference First Round against the Ottawa Senators.

On April 23, 2012, Kreider scored the game-winning goal in Game 6 against Ottawa. He also scored the game-winning goal against the Washington Capitals in Game 1 of the second round. Kreider finished the postseason with five goals and seven points, breaking the NHL record for most playoff goals by a player who had yet to play in a regular-season game.

Chris Kreider made his regular-season NHL debut on January 19, 2013, against the Boston Bruins, after beginning the 2012-13 season with Connecticut in the American Hockey League.

He was the only player in the NHL in 2014-15 to have at least 20 goals, 40 points, a plus-20 rating, and 80 penalty minutes. Kreider set an NHL career high with 28 goals in 2016-17, then matched that total in 2018-19 before being named to the NHL All-Star Game for the first time in 2020.
