Jeeva Kumar, the cover-defender from the coastal town of Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu has clearly been one of the most experienced and skilled players in the Pro Kabaddi League.
Since the inaugural edition of the Pro Kabaddi League, we have hardly seen him warm the benches. In the 74 matches he has played, he has garnered a total of 156 points. He's known for his sheer power which in itself is enough to bring down any raider, making him one of the most feared defenders in the league.
Since the departures of Jeeva Kumar and Vishal Mane, U Mumba hasn't had able cover defenders and this has cost them dearly. Had they managed to retain their services, U Mumba could clearly have had a veritable shot at the top.
