Dabang Delhi vs Patna Pirates - Can the Eagles defeat the table-toppers?

Looking at Dabang Delhi's encounter with Patna Pirates in season 3 of the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League.

Dabang Delhi will look to get their 2nd win of season 3 of the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League tonight

Dabang Delhi take on Patna Pirates in the second match of their home leg of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi season 3 tonight. The match is one of contrasts, as the team from Delhi are at the bottom, while Patna top the table currently.

The team from the national capital will look to get their second win of the season and what better way to achieve that victory than by defeating the most dominant team in the league currently, Patna Pirates.

The Eagles will be counting on star raider Kashiling Adake to put pressure on the Patna defence, marshalled very well by Sandeep Narwal, who has 34 successful tackles this season in the league. The Narwal-led Patna defence have the most cohesive backline of all teams in the league, and will rely on that to throttle the Delhi raiders.

Adake will look to continue in the same manner as the previous match against the Telugu Titans, a match in which he scored 10 points in what was a losing cause for the Dabangs, who lost 36-44.

He will need good support from Surjeet Singh and Selvamani, both having performed well in general for the Eagles this season. Surjeet scored 13 points against the Titans and will be all pumped up to get his team the advantage tonight as well.

Patna Pirates will be looking to continue their march at the top, and will rely on their well-oiled defence and their explosive offense. Sandeep Narwal will anchor the defence and ensure that they don't concede unnecessary points.

Their offense has been on fire this season, thanks to the efforts of Pardeep Narwal, Deepak Narwal and Rohit Kumar. Kumar also scored 14 points in their previous match, a 47-24 win over Jaipur Pink Panthers, to propel the Pirates to the win.

Rohit Kumar and Pardeep Narwal have scored 73 and 75 points respectively while raiding and are top two in the leaderboard in the league for the number of raid points. Delhi's captain Ravinder Pahal will have a tough time going up against this duo, but will look to keep them quiet and shine in front of his home fans.

The last time these two teams met in the league this season, Patna won 47-34 and the Eagles will be looking to get revenge this time around.
