Born on 16 February 1997, Pardeep Narwal is an Indian Kabaddi player who plays for the Indian National Kabaddi Team and Patna Pirates in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). He was the best raider in the 2017 PKL season, and helped Patna Pirates to a record third title. Nicknamed as the ‘Dubki King’ his signature move is the ‘Dubki’, a move that requires tremendous flexibility and agility as the raider ducks low off the ground below a chain of defenders and then launches himself back up to safety.
Pardeep was born to a Hindu Jat family at Rindhana village of Haryana's Sonipat district. It is there where he started playing Kabaddi and soon he became the sensation on the mat.
He debuted in the 2nd season of PKL with the Bengaluru Bulls and in the following season was signed by the Patna Pirates and has been retained by them till now.
Rise To Glory
In his debut season with Patna Pirates he became the highest point-scorer. From then on, he has consistently broken record after record, the crowning glory of which was an 8-point raid against Haryana Steelers in Season 5 which left both the players and the fans speechless.
Pardeep is the only player to be adjudged VIVO Pro Kabaddi’s Most Valuable Player in two consecutive seasons - Seasons 4 and 5. In Season 5, he scored a remarkable 369 raid points and was 150 points clear of the second most successful raider of the season.
