What's the story?

In a shocking incident, star raider Surjeet Singh was involved in a highway accident in the early hours of Tuesday. However, in a post on his Instagram account, he confirmed that he was safe and escaped without any injuries.

He wrote, 'My bad luck and my good luck .bad luck is my accident ....good luck I am good safe." (sic)

In case you didn't know

Surjeet is one of the top raiders in the Pro Kabaddi League and has a bagful of experience under his belt. He plays for the Services and as a result, missed the first two seasons of the PKL.

The heart of the matter

He has played for Dabang Delhi and champions Patna Pirates in Season 3 and 4, where he notched up some pretty decent statistics. In the third season, he made 12 appearances and recorded an impressive haul of 68 raid points.

In Season 4, he was part of the Patna side that lifted the title and for with Pardeep Narwal in full flow, he played the role of a secondary raider, scoring a total of 37 points in 10 appearances.

The last season saw him turn out for the Haryana Steelers, where his experience came quite handy in his side's run to the playoffs. He played a total of 17 matches, where he picked up a total of 63 points, four of which were defensive ones.

The star raider has made it clear that he is safe and has escaped unhurt from the accident, which is great news for his fans. He is likely to be seen in action next at the Senior National Championships, which kick off on December 31.
