Welcome to the LIVE coverage of first of tonight’s double header between Bengaluru Bulls and last season’s semi-finalist Puneri Paltan at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad at the ongoing Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League season 4.
The Pune-based franchise has made a near to perfect start to their season 4 campaign, winning 3 and drawing 1 of their first 5 matches played so far. Their skipper Manjeet Chhillar has been instrumental in leading his troops at the top the table with some inspiring performances, including a clever finish to the match against Dabang Delhi(Chhillar used his presence of mind to complete an empty raid quickly and pushed the Eagles to complete a do-or-die raid as the buzzer raid at the end of the 2nd half, which helped the Paltans to tie the contest 27-27). As far as the raiding department is concerned, a lot would depend on their star raiders Ajay Thakur and Deepak Niwas Hudda to help the Paltans beat the Bangalore-based franchise.
On the other hand, Bengaluru Bulls had a mixed start to their season 4 campaign, winning by the narrowest of margins against Bengal Warriors in their inaugural match while tieing their 2nd encounter against the Panthers, however, lost their 3rd and the latest tie against the Eagles 24-32. A lot would depend on their latest addition to the team Rohit Kumar to continue his good scoring form into the match against the Paltans, the 26-year old raider has already accumulated 19 raid points in the 3 matches played so far. Defensively, the new signings Surender Nada and Mohit Chhillar have to be at their ultimate best in order to stop the lethal Puneri raiders in their stride.
