Welcome to the LIVE coverage of tonight's only match between hosts Jaipur Pink Panthers and Bengaluru Bulls at the ongoing season 4 of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League played at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.
The hosts had a mixed start to their season 4 campaign as they lost their opening tie 34-36 against season 2 champions U Mumba in a closely contested encounter earlier in the tournament while won their 2nd match of the campaign against Telugu Titans 28-24 in what proved to be another thrilling contest. The latest addition to the team, Shabeer Bappu scored a total of mammoth 9 raid points against his former side, but couldn’t save his team from conceding their 1st defeat. In their second encounter, Rajesh Narwal was seen in sublime form as he scored a total of whopping 8 points(7 raid points and 1 tackle point) to help his team finish on the winning side against Telugu Titans.
On the other hand, the Bangalore-based franchise won their only encounter of season 4 against Bengal Warriors by the narrowest of margins possible in a 24-23 win. The newest addition to the squad, Rohit Kumar came to the Bulls rescue as he converted 4 of his last 5 raids into points and took Bengaluru Bulls to a 1-point win over the Warriors. Their new captain Surender Nada too played his hand in keeping the Bulls’ defense intact and organized, also scored a high 5 (5 tackle points in a single match) which propelled the Bulls to their 1st win.
The two sides have met 6 times in the history of Pro Kabaddi League with the hosts having the upper hand over the Bulls winning 4 of these encounters while the Bulls came on top on 2 occasions.
