Good evening everyone..

Welcome to the LIVE coverage of our 2nd game of the night between this year's probable champions Puneri Paltan and the defending champions Patna Pirates at the DOME@NSCI SVP Stadium, Mumbai. It is all set to be an exciting night for the spectators to see these two heavyweights taking on each other so early in the tournament.

The Pune – based franchise Puneri Paltan have started their campaign on a very positive note by winning their opening match against Telugu Titans in a closely contested match while thrashed last season’s finalist U Mumba in their 2nd match of the tournament. After losing 6 straight matches against U Mumba, they won their 1st Maharashtrian Derby in Star Sports Pro Kabaddi history yesterday. Their star players Manjeet Chhillar and Ajay Thakur has been in sublime form in the opening games for the Paltans, gathering a whopping total of 19 points between them against U Mumba.

On the other hand, Patna Pirates will hope to have a similar season as they had the last one and keep their winning momentum going into the season 4 of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League. However, this season they have to do it without their charismatic skipper Sandeep Narwal who has been signed by the Telugu Titans franchise for the ongoing season 4. The Pirates’ management retained their star raider Pardeep Narwal along with Rajesh Mondal while brought back Hadi Oshtorak into the squad. The veteran Dharamraj Cheralathan will lead this new looking Patna side while Fazel Attrachali and Surjeet Singh (Servives) will add more balance to the squad.

The two sides will have fresh memories of each other as they battled it out for a place in the finals last season, Patna eventually winning the tie and a place in the finals. Puneri Paltan is yet to win a tie against the Patna-based franchise in the PKL history, however, with the momentum with them, this will be their best chance to win against the stubborn Patna Pirates.
