The Pro Kabaddi League has always been a breeding ground for rising stars, as evidenced by the recent announcement of the 36-member probables for the national camp squad. Pawan Sehrawat, Ashu Malik, and Arjun Deshwal, all well-known Kabaddi players, have earned their spots through outstanding performances in both the Pro Kabaddi League and the recently concluded 70th Senior Nationals in Maharashtra.

This upcoming camp is crucial as Kabaddi prepares for the pivotal year ahead. With the Kabaddi World Cup returning after a nine-year hiatus, players see this camp as the first step towards defending the coveted title, which will most likely be held early next year.

Furthermore, with the PKL 11 auctions quickly approaching, players are eager to demonstrate their fitness and prowess to catch the attention of coaches and franchises.

The probables list is balanced, with 16 raiders and four players each for left cover, left corner, right cover, right corner, and all-rounder. This meticulous selection process was overseen by a seasoned three-member committee consisting of Randhir Singh Sehrawat, Manpreet Singh, and Ashok Shinde, who closely monitored the Nationals to identify players capable of performing under pressure.

Notably, nine players from the Senior Nationals finals have made the squad, with Ashu Malik of Dabang Delhi, Krishan Dhull of Patna Pirates, and Abinesh Nadarajan Puneri Paltan leading the charge.

While some experienced campaigners, such as Rahul Chaudhari, have earned their spots through outstanding performances, others, such as Parvesh Bhainswal and Vikas Kandola, have been overlooked due to their lower impact in the competition. Naveen Kumar, who is still recovering from an injury, is unable to take advantage of this opportunity.

It's worth mentioning that the absence of Kabaddi legends like Pardeep Narwal and Maninder Singh from the squad raises eyebrows, but it also signifies the emergence of a new generation of talent ready to make their mark on the international stage.
