The caravan of the VIVO Pro Kabaddi League 2019 will move to Chennai next, as the Tamil Thalaivas gear up to host the next phase of the tournament. The Ajay Thakur-led franchise will play 4 matches in the next week, the first of which is against defending champions Bengaluru Bulls.
In the previous encounter played between the two teams, Tamil Thalaivas lost the match by 14 points. However, the south Indian team has a much, much stronger core now and they can defeat any team on any given day.
Bengaluru Bulls have 22 points in their kitty by now with 4 wins in 7 matches, whereas Tamil Thalaivas have earned 20 points with 3 wins in 6 games. Since this match will feature the likes of Rahul Chaudhari, Pawan Sehrawat, Rohit Kumar and Ajay Thakur, it promises to be a raid points fest. Here's how the two teams may line up for this clash -
Ajay Thakur, the captain of the team, will hope that his star raiders, Shabeer Bappu, and Rahul Chaudhari support him in the raiding attack while the Tamil Thalaivas play in front of their home fans.
The defence of the team led by Manjeet Chhillar will have Mohit Chhillar and Ran Singh as the corner defenders with Ajeet completing the line-up.
Pawan Sehrawat will have the onus of scoring the raid points against the strong defence of Tamil Thalaivas and he will need the support of skipper Rohit Kumar and third raider, Sumit Singh.
Mahender Singh, Amit Sheoran, Ashish Sangwan and Saurabh Nandal failed miserably versus Vikash Kandola and co. The fact that Rohit Kumar emerged as the best defender of the team that night would have given sleepless nights to the defenders. Hence, they will try to improve their game against Rahul Chaudhari, Ajay Thakur, Shabeer and Manjeet.
