Kashiling Adake holds key for Delhi as they kick off their campaign against Bengal Warriors

The Dabangs from Delhi kick off their season 4 campaign against the Bengal Warriors on Monday. Delhi is the only team to never had any knockout experience in the past and they need to turn their worse records in the current edition. The North Indian side will be led by Kashiling Adake the leading raider from season 2 edition of the Pro Kabaddi league. Bengal, on the other hand, looks to bounce back from their narrow one point defeat against Bengaluru.

The Live Streaming for the game between the Bengal Warriors and Dabang Delhi will be available on starsports.com from 20:00 IST. The match will be telecasted live from DOME @ NSCI SVP Stadium, Mumbai, and will be aired on Star Sports 2 (HD) in English and Star Sports 3 (HD) in Hindi.

The inconsistent Delhi team doesn’t look strong on paper but they have some promising young players like Meraj Sheykh, Selvamani and the promising 20-year-old Deepak Narwal who was part of Patna’s title-winning campaign but didn’t get enough opportunities in his former team.

A lot will depend on Delhi’s skipper Kashiling Adake, the 23-year-old raider who single-handedly punished the opponents with some exceptional raids. He has 100 raid points in season 2 and one of the few raiders to secure more than 100 points in two seasons of Pro Kabaddi. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to repeat the past heroics in season 3 and as a result, Delhi finished at the bottom of the table.

Bengal Warriors, meanwhile, suffered a nail-biting loss against the Bengaluru Bulls after some poor decisions from their experienced players. Nilesh Shinde the captain of the Bengal Warriors gifted the point to the Bulls with an unnecessary raid in the final 3 minutes. Shinde’s costly error just turned the match in Bengaluru’s favour as they were trailing by 2 points with three minutes still to play. The error also led to an all out for the warriors in the final minute of the game.

Bengal will now look to put this disappointment of that defeat behind them and give their season a kick-start. One thing that will go in favour of the Warriors is their record against Delhi having defeated the Dabangs on 4 previous occasions.

The Dabangs are the only team who haven’t won their opening fixtures in all the three seasons. Last time, around, they managed to win only one of their 14 games, losing 12. However, with the auction reshuffling the team to get a better balance, Delhi will be hoping for a better turnout this season.

It’s an uphill battle between Delhi’s attack against Bengal’s defence. Let’s see who comes out on top.
